A day of treats
Treat number one
I got a little gift yesterday. A present from me to me. A reward for all my hard work with the fall festival circuit, which is happily behind me (let me tell you, the festivals this fall were not easy). I treated myself to a long-awaited, much needed, well deserved digital SLR. I saved up for it, putting aside my pennies one at a time until I had a mountain of them that reached high enough into the sky that I could buy a Nikon D5000. Which is exactly what I did.
My new camera. Taking a picture of me taking a picture.
"How do you even work this thing?" I'm going to need a class.
Treat numero deux
I got my eyebrows threaded. This is an every-two-weeks treat that makes me feel like a beautiful princess each and every time. If you happen to have a proclivity, as I do, for tidy eyebrows, and like me you're not averse to little bit of pain, I highly recommend threading over waxing or tweezing. Find a threader who knows what they're doing and ye shall have perfectly perfect brows every single time.
A perfectly threaded brow.

Yayyyyyy! Enjoy your new Nikon!!
I hear ya. Getting my brows waxed feels like an instant face lift to me. I wish we had a place that does threading around here.
I've been thinking about threading. Where do you go?
Thanks, Robin.
I go to Ruby Beauty. I used to drive all the way to Norcross to get it done, but they opened a Ruby Beauty right around the corner from here. $6! http://rubybeautycenter.com/
1) You have a camera now, your life will never be the same. I got my dslr in May, and have already shot well over 4,000 pictures, not kidding. I have a serious problem. I need serious help. lol!
2) I have been wanting to have my eyebrows threaded for sometime now. I hear it is so much more precise than waxing and tweezing.
3) If you would like some resources for digital photography, I can help you.
Alicia, which one do you visit? Looks like they're all far away, for those of us who never leave the 'burbs. I feel so hairy, all of a sudden.
Thanks, Misti, I'll be emailing you.
lmao, Delilah :) There's a new one that just opened up on Delk and Powers Ferry (770) 933-4444. You can tell the manager that Alicia the silver jewelry designer sent you.
I am so jealous of your camera, you lucky gal!
You'll have so much fun with it!
