Pumpkins abound
Some fun was had with large orange gourds and sharp cutting implements this weekend. It was our Annual Neighborhood Pumpkin Carving Spectacular down in the cul-de-sac yesterday, and here are some pictures for you:
My Little SweetPea tells me where to put the eyes and nose.
Carving out an Old School Jack-o-Lantern.
Pumpkins abound, as do sharp tools and slimy pumpkin guts.
Ready for the front porch
How does a 2.5 year old busy herself on a fall Monday morning?
By carting around tricycle trunk loads of oak leaves from one end of the driveway to the other.
In case you didn't know:
The secret to making your jack-o-lanterns last until Halloween is petroleum jellying the insides.
Spooky and Sprocket, and friends.
But this preschool-made one is my favorite jack-o-lantern of all.
Have a great start to the week, everyone!

Adorable! Lovely pumpkins and busy little one :).
Hey Alicia, let me know how you get on with your camera! I do feel very spoilt I just hope I can do it justice!
Regards, T.
Thanks! It was a rushed day and we forgot to keep the seeds. Actually though, I've got braces and I just remembered that pumpkin seeds are one of the thousand things you're not allowed to eat when you have braces.
T, I'm definitely excited about the new camera. How funny that we both got ours on the same day? I'll have to blog about mine tomorrow.
This looks like so much fun! I'm starting to think i am missing out. Halloween isn't such a big thing over in Australia but it looks like so exciting!
