Amber Dynastic - Day 5 of Ring a Day
This is my day 5 out of 365 of the Ring a Day challenge.
Here's the ring I finished today. It looks and feels like something out of another time and place.

This showy little bauble is made of one delicious square cut of juicy amber, tiny granules of sterling silver, sterling silver sheet and wire, and liver of sulfur for that antiqued looked I'm obsessed with. Oh yeah, and the steady skill of my hands.
It looks completely different from every angle.
And wears like something out of the Tudor Dynasty
ok, minus the precious jewels and high karat gold :)

So, that's today's ring!
I'm trying to figure out what tomorrow's ring will be. Check back. I'll see if I can make it a Work-in-Progress-Wednesday.
A lovely day to you. See ya tomorrow.

Beautiful! Your pistures are stunning too :)
uggg...make that pictures!
lovely ring--and a very ambitious project!
Thank you :)
I know, Mary, I can't believe what I've gotten myself into. Let's see if I'll make it to day 365!
I LOVE this!!!!
Thanks! I gave myself a wee pat on the back when I finished ;)
Will you be selling the rings you make during this challenge? What a great idea! Hmmm... maybe I could do a poem a week, or a short story a month... ::wheels turning::
Jhenah: I'm sure I'll list some of them. This particular one will be mine so I can "test drive" it to see how durable the granules are since I've never make a granulated ring before.
A poem/short story challenge - you should totally do that!
What a fabulous work of art!
It's gorgeous Alicia! Funny, I just made a new pair of amber earrings :)
Thanks, Wendy and Lisa ;)
Beautiful ring; I am in awe of all the rings you guys are making.
My goodness, you gave yourself quite a challenge but I bet you are loving every day of it...this ring is beautiful and as you described it, from another time! Lovely!

Right, A - it looks kind of effervescent. :)
That is one sweet ring. I envy that you get to keep it to test drive :) I adore amber...it's so warm.
I love it!
I'm glad to see that you jumped in to the RAD after the beginning of the year. It makes me feel better about maybe starting in February...??
Holy mother of granulation!!! How did I miss this?!
