What we've been up to...

Hay guys.  Please excuse my absence from the blogosphere.

It's because I've been busy doing this:

Planting a garden
Planting a garden.

Swapping out patio lights while Grace plays
Working on the home.

Making arts
Making art with my little girl.

I don't know where the time goes.
But the weather is nice. Summertime is here in Atlanta. We just skipped over spring and went right to summer.

I'm hardly in the studio these days at all.

Little climber girl
Little climber girl.
By the way, check out the cherry blossoms, would ya. I think the pink trees in the front yard that were in bloom a couple weeks ago were peach trees (and not cherry, like I had thought).  These fat bulby ones are cherries.
They are GORGEOUS.

My parents flew in from Toronto yesterday, and I'm so happy to have them here.

Tomorrow we celebrate SweetPea's 3rd birthday (her actual b-day is the 15th).

We will have no less than 65 people at our house for a Strawberry Shortcake themed party tomorrow. There is one very excited SweetPea down there who's been asking me every day for the past week if it's her birthday yet.

Almost, my little one...

Well,
I'm off to Whole Foods and Trader Joe's to get the ingredients for that
strawberry trifle I'm making for tomorrow.

Have a FANTASTIC weekend, you guys.

I'll try to post more soon.

xoxo,
Alice :)

How wonderful :-)

As the mom of a three year old, it's the been the most magical age so far---every day is a constant whirl of changes and I stare at her sometimes and wonder who she'll be today. Or tomorrow. :-)

Happy birthday to your little one---and have a great time with your family :)

I've been wondering where you've been but I assumed it was enjoying time with your family :) My garden is still in sad shape. I cleared out all of the stuff that died off with the winter freezes and at least it's looking greener, but I need to replant new flowers. Maybe I need to get out and go to the garden shop today!

Happy Birthday to your Sweet Pea! Strawberry Shortcake is a favorite around here too.

Oh how beautiful it is there!! I adore those butterfly wings!! I remember when Kevin used to sit with me and do art. Now he just wants to play his video games (thanks to his dad for introducing him to that world). I miss it.
